The Company
Glegg Manufacturing Pty Ltd is a Queensland Company, based in Brisbane Australia. It was founded in 1969 as a family business and has become one of Brisbane's premier sheet metal processing companies.
The investment of a larger and more versatile machinery over the years of operation has expanded and increased the capacity of Glegg Manufacturing to include custom designed profiles and become a preferred manufacturer for restoration on heritage architecture.
The installation of a 6m 200 ton press brake and a 6m 8mm plate capacity guillotine for long length cutting and folding repetition work facilitated production to the present output level of approximately 100 ton per month.
New technologies presented opportunities to extend their service to the metal industry and into new markets. In 2000 Glegg Manufacturing introduced a Flow IFB UHP (integrated flying bridge, ultra high pressure) Waterjet to their workshop, founding Australian Waterjet Cutting as a division of the parent company
In 2005 they upgraded the Waterjet machine to a larger one 4m x 2m, and in 2006 Australian Waterjet Cutting purchased a second Waterjet with a bed of 1.2m x 2.4m dual head.
Glegg Manufacturing and Australian Waterjet Cutting is currently owned and operated by brothers Murray and Ross Glegg, who have been company directors since 1991.
